1. Fundamental provisions
The Controller of personal data pursuant to Article 4(7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data and on the Free Movement of such Data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as the “GDPR”) is PARAMO, a.s., Company ID No: 48173355, based at Přerovská 560, 530 06 Pardubice, registered in the Register of Companies maintained by the Regional Court in Hradec Králové, Section B, Insert 992 (hereinafter referred to as “PARAMO” or the “Controller”). PARAMO is part of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group.
The PARAMO places great emphasis on the transparency of the processing and security of your personal data, which are considered strictly confidential, and handles them in accordance with the GDPR, Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the Processing of Personal Data, as amended, and other applicable legislation.
In order to ensure problem-free communication between you and PARAMO, a Personal Data Protection Officer has been appointed who is available to you in case of questions or discrepancies with the processing of personal data at osobniudaje@orlenunipetrol.cz, or at the delivery address ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o., Information Protection Department, Milevská 2095/5, 140 00 Prague 4, Czech Republic.
PARAMO appreciates your trust and therefore, in accordance with the principle of transparency, informs you in this document “Privacy Policy” about the processing of your personal data required for the following purposes.
This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data collected by PARAMO during your use of the Website www.paramo.cz (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) and is primarily intended for contractors, visitors to the Website, job applicants, inquirers and others with whose personal data PARAMO may come into contact.
2. Purposes of personal data processing
PARAMO is a producer of process oils, asphalts and asphalt products. In the course of business activities, personal data are processed, especially of the partner (customer, supplier) as a natural person and of other persons, especially contact persons and other persons on the part of the partner as a legal person.
The purpose of processing personal data is the implementation and performance of the contractual relationship, i.e. delivery of the ordered product, provision of transport, exercise of rights and obligations arising from the contractual relationship between the partner and PARAMO and other contractual obligations. The legal basis for the personal data processing is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, i.e. the processing necessary for the performance of the contract and for the implementation of measures taken prior to the conclusion of the contract. We process the contact data of natural persons who represent the partner as a legal person on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, as this is necessary for the performance of the contract with the partner and the processing is based on the joint legitimate interest of the partner and PARAMO in providing the agreed services.
In particular, your personal data may be processed by PARAMO for the following purposes:
- Performance of a contractual relationship (for example, when concluding a purchase contract and/or a service contract);
- Accounting and tax purposes (compliance with legal obligations under accounting and tax legislation);
- Fulfilling other legal obligations (other legal obligations that PARAMO fulfils include, for example, providing information to law enforcement authorities or other public authorities);
- Safety and security (use of the CCTV system on the company's premises to ensure security);
- Communication with inquirers (contacting PARAMO by email, postal address or other means by the inquirer);
- Recruitment (implementation of selection procedures to fill vacant positions).
3. Personal data processed
PARAMO collects the following data for the purposes specified above:
- Identification data (first name, surname, company ID number, or birth certificate number or date of birth, ID number);
- Contact data (email address, postal address, telephone number, job title);
- Bank account number;
- Operational records (contracts, minutes of meetings, instructions, etc.);
- Order details, delivery details, payment details;
- Necessary communication between the partner and PARAMO.
3.1. Fulfilling legal obligations within the accounting and tax issues
We process accounting documents, data on your payments and other information required by law to fulfil our legal obligations, i.e. Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.
3.2. Communication with inquirers
If you contact PARAMO via email, postal address or other means, the information about your contact will only be processed for the purpose of follow-up communication with you.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, i.e. where the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller, namely the interest in developing relationships with Website visitors on a given issue, streamlining communication, presenting PARAMO's corporate name and protecting its reputation.
PARAMO collects the following data for the purposes specified above:
- Identification data (name, surname)
- Contact data (email address, postal address or telephone number)
- Necessary communication between you and PARAMO
3.3. Recruitment
If you want to become a member of the PARAMO team and send us your CV via the answer form or in any other way, we will process your personal data for the purpose of the selection procedure for the position of your choice. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, i.e. processing necessary for the performance of the contract and for the implementation of measures taken prior to the conclusion of the contract, i.e. your interest in participating in the selection procedure.
If you participate in the first round of the selection procedure, you may be asked to consent to the processing of your personal data in order to verify or obtain references from previous employers, public sources and public registers of legal and natural persons in order to verify the truthfulness of the information you have provided and to prevent conflicts of interest with the activities of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group.
3.4. Sending offers of similar positions
If you have given your consent to PARAMO to process your personal data for the purpose of registering you as an applicant for another suitable job within the ORLEN Unipetrol Group, your personal data will be processed for the purpose of sending you offers of similar positions. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR or your voluntary consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.
3.5. Operation of a CCTV system with continuous recording on the monitored premises and buildings of PARAMO
PARAMO's premises and buildings are monitored by a CCTV system with recording for the purpose of protecting the rights and legally protected interests of PARAMO or another entity (in particular the protection of property, health, life and safety of persons present on the monitored premises) on the basis of the legitimate interest of the Controller pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The monitored premises are marked with a pictogram with additional information.
PARAMO collects the following data for the purposes specified above:
- Image record of natural persons
- Vehicle registration number
3.6. Performance of the employment relationship
Our employees are informed individually about the processing of their personal data.
3.7. Taking photographs, audiovisual recording and online-transmission during the event
PARAMO may take photographs and audio-visual recordings during the event to capture the events at the venue and the participants present. The Controller may place the photographs and audiovisual recordings taken on the intranet and social networks within which he/she has set up a user profile. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please notify the photographer or videographer, or you may notify the Controller that you do not wish the photographs or audiovisual recordings to be published or otherwise distributed.
Some events may also be webcast or live streamed via websites or social networks where the Controller has set up a user profile. You are notified of this type of broadcast in the invitation to such event.
In connection with the taking of photographs and audiovisual recordings of the event, the legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Controller pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, i.e. the promotion of activities and charitable activities carried out under the auspices of the Controller.
PARAMO collects the following data for the purposes specified above:

4. Transmission of personal data
At PARAMO, your personal data are kept as secure as possible and only made available to authorised employees or individual processors and data controllers, and only to the extent necessary to fulfil the individual purposes of processing. The security of your personal data with these recipients is ensured through their contractual obligations.
The transfer of personal data shall always take place in compliance with the highest standard of data protection, which ensures the proper preservation of the rights of data subjects and the protection of privacy. A detailed list is available on request from the Data Protection Officer.
List of categories of recipients of personal data:
- State administrative bodies: e.g. Revenue office, social security administration;
- Insurance companies;
- ORLEN S.A. Holding providing IT support for the personal data processing system;
- Statistical Office in anonymised form;
- Service providers such as companies providing security of buildings, HR processes, IT services, etc.;
- External auditors;
- Companies belonging to the ORLEN Unipetrol Group on the basis of SLA (Service Level Agreement).
Under certain conditions, PARAMO is then entitled to transfer some of your personal data on the basis of applicable legal regulations, for example to law enforcement authorities or other public authorities.
PARAMO, as a member of the ORLEN Group, uses IT systems consolidation and your personal data may be stored on servers in Poland. PARAMO does not transfer personal data outside the EU, EEA or to international organisations.
5. Retention period of personal data
PARAMO processes and retains personal data for the period of time necessary to ensure all rights and obligations arising from the relevant contractual relationship and for the period of time for which PARAMO, as the Data Controller, is obliged to retain personal data pursuant to generally binding legal regulations. After the retention period has expired, PARAMO will dispose of the personal data.
We process personal data according to the purpose of their processing for the following period of time:

6. Your Rights
You have the following rights in relation to the processing of personal data:
6.1. Right of access to personal data
In connection with the processing of personal data, you have the right to be provided with information and to be provided with a copy of your personal data processed upon your request. In the event of a repeated request, PARAMO will be entitled to charge a reasonable fee for a copy of the personal data provided. We will inform you of such procedure.
6.2. Right to rectification
If you believe that your personal data, which we process, are inaccurate, outdated or otherwise incorrect, contact us and we will rectify them. We will perform rectification without undue delay, but always with respect to technical capacities.
6.3. Right to erasure
If the personal data are no longer necessary for the stated purpose or you withdraw your consent to their processing, we will erase the personal data at your request. In some cases, however, your right may be restricted. For example, personal data that we process on the basis of our legal obligations cannot be erased before the expiration of the statutory archiving deadlines. Or, in the event of personal data related to the provision of services, they cannot be erased before the expiry of the time limits for any related claims (compensation, complaints, etc.).
6.4. Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to restriction of processing if:
- personal data which we process are inaccurate;
- processing is illegal;
- personal data are no longer required, but you need them do determine, exercise or defend a legal claim;
- you object to processing.
Your personal data will only be stored with us during the restriction period and no operations will be performed with them without your consent. Restriction of processing lasts for the period for which one of the above situations lasts. You will be informed about the potential termination of restriction.
6.5. Right to object
You may file a justified objection to processing based on a legitimate interest and for direct marketing. The justification of the objection will be assessed and you will be informed of the decision via your chosen contact channel.
6.6. Right to data portability
If you want PARAMO to transfer your personal data to a third party, you can exercise your right to data portability. If the exercise of this right would affect the rights and freedoms of third parties, PARAMO will not be able to comply with your request.
6.7. Right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data
In the case of processing of personal data based on your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time. If you wish to do so, please contact us with your request using the contact details of the Data Protection Officer listed above.
6.8. Right to be exempted from automated decision-making including profiling
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, in our activities.
6.9. Right to complain to the supervisory authority
If you feel that your personal data are not handled pursuant to the law, you have the right to direct your justified complaint to the Personal Data Protection Office, based at Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, Czech Republic.
