Pardubice, 19.7.2011 – Paramo has won a contract for supply of cation-active asphalt emulsion to the Regional Road Administration Authority of the Liberec Region for the following 12 months. The main criterion for selection in terms of the public contract was the best offer.

On the basis of the contract concluded, Paramo will continuously supply the Regional Road Administration Authority of the Liberec Region with cation-active asphalt emulsion with a 65% binding agent content for local repairs to the road network using spraying technology. The total value of the contract is approximately 2 million crowns.

Paramo is the leading producer of asphalts in the Czech Republic. Road administration and maintenance authorities represent an important section of the company's clientele. On the basis of contracts concluded in the past, Paramo supplies asphalt emulsion to the Road Administration and Maintenance Authority of the South Moravian Region, to the districts of Hradec Králové and Turnov in the Hradec Králové Region, as well as supplying to the areas of Havlíčkův Brod, Ledeč nad Sázavou and Chotěboř in the Vysočina Region. Roads are also repaired in the Plzeň Region with the aid of cation-active emulsion produced by Paramo. Large construction companies which build and repair roads also represent important customers.

PARAMO, a.s., a member of the UNIPETROL/PKN ORLEN Group, processes crude oil for refinery and asphalt products, and also for lubricating and process oils, incl. subsequent and ancillary products. The refinery purchases and processes oil hydrogen and hydrocrack products. Intermediate products are used in the production of basic oils and lubricating oils which contain very low levels of sulphur. The company employs 661 people.
