Pardubice, November 15 2010 - Pardubice Refinery is again one of the partners of the contest entitled "Looking for the best young chemist," which is organized by the Pardubice Secondary school of Chemistry.

It is the fourth time Paramo participates in the program of which aim is to find young chemists among the ninth grade pupils of elementary schools, and of which aspect, regarded by Paramo as highly important, involves mutual cooperation between all levels of chemical education (from elementary to university) and companies providing the necessary field experience. In addition, the strength of the contest "Looking for the best young chemist"    lies in the effort to make chemistry more attractive as a promising field of study and to stimulate students' interest in studying at the Pardubice Secondary school of Chemistry. It is them who hold the future of the chemical industry in the region in their hands.

PARAMO, a.s., a member of the UNIPETROL/PKN ORLEN Group, processes crude oil for refinery and asphalt products, and also for lubricating and process oils, incl. subsequent and ancillary products. The refinery purchases and processes oil hydrogen and hydrocrack products. Intermediate products are used in the production of basic oils and lubricating oils which contain very low levels of sulphur. The company employs 668 people.
