Pardubice, 21 September 2012 - Paramo acquired the certificate from the Chemical Industry Union of the Czech Republic for results achieved in the past four years during the fulfilment of voluntary ventures and program objectives focussed on improving health and environmental protection and the safety of all activities related to the business.

In the reviewed period, Paramo applied the principles of the Responsible Care program in all areas of management at both of its operation centres, in Pardubice and Kolín, and projected the into the annually declared objectives of its integrated management system.

The company joined the Responsible Care program in 1998. The sixth successful defence authorises Paramo to use the Responsible Care – Responsible Business in Chemistry logo for another four years.

PARAMO, a.s., is a producer of asphalt products, lubricating and process oils, incl. subsequent and ancillary products. History of the company started in 1889. Today, Paramo is part of Unipetrol, a leading Czech group doing business in the field of petroleum processing and petrochemical production, which in turn belongs to the family of the supranational group PKN Orlen. Paramo is a 100% owner of Mogul Slovakia, a limited liability company which is engaged in the purchase and sale of oils and lubricants. The company employs 600 people.
